Use PicturesUse pictures in your web site wherever you can. Product pictures are essential in advertising your goods, and almost mandatory if you are selling on-line. We normally expect you to provide the pictures. We may need to format these for you to make them 'web compatible'. We do not normally use full-resolution pictures in the design because these can be very slow to load on your customers’ computers, at which point they abandon your site for a more user-friendly one. |

Picture FormattingSo we normally use 'thumbnail' sized pictures. This resolution is perfectly adequate for most designs with the advantages that they take less space on the host, and load quickly. If you need a larger view (for example, when selling your home) we can provide thumbnails with 'mouse-over' facilities that show the larger picture. Graphics are treated in the same way as pictures. There are many different ways of creating graphic images for use on-line, so please talk to us about this when discussing the design. Complex graphics can take a long time to generate so that they work well with all your customers' systems. |

Picture typesYou can format pictures in different ways. Here are some examples:
Example text between pictures, the words used here are just as part of this example. China put into service the world's "fastest" rail link, with speeds over 350 kilometers per hour between Guangzhou and Wuhan. Scientists have switched the world's most powerful atom-smasher to standby for two and a half months. French auto giant Renault has agreed to keep some of the production of the Renault Clio in France. etc.
Different text, which appears when the mouse is stationary over the picture, is possible for each case. Try it. You can add graphics and dynamic maps such as this one: |
